Who Are You?

I try to conduct myself on three principles:
Be the friend they call.
Love steady.
Shoot'em straight.
Emphasis on the try. They could probably use some development but they're easy to remember. Who I am has been shaped by being the person I want to be to others. I think everything else is just extra detail. I'm a daughter, sister, partner, best friend, college graduate, marketing manager, and real estate agent... With a cat. But who cares? Who you are is the way you choose to conduct yourself. I can be a sister, but could also be a really shitty sister. I can be a best friend, but the kind you don't bring to family functions. I can be a marketing manager, but the kind you don't trust not to say something racist on the company LinkedIn. I have lots of titles and I don't take them for granted. It's important to me to show up for people, I derive some (not all, that would be ludicrous) of my value from it.
Otherwise, I'm a lifelong learner, incredibly resilient, I'll always work hard, I love to laugh (even when I shouldn't), and a self-aware queen. I'm the girl who will confront what I need to head on and cry about it later. I'm tough but it's a blessing and a curse. When you're tough, no one protects you from anything because they think you can handle it all yourself. That's about 80% true for me. The other 20% is the overflow and that's when I need to be swaddled and coddled. We're working on it!
